hi everyone.. i had psoted on booker prize earlier and there was healthy response.

it has encouraged us to start this topic here... we may have to come up with better ways also for future... this is for starters..

so anil is reading "inheritance of loss" i hope we will get a long book review from him... and maybe he will lend u the book for read... if u guys want to read..(if u r a girl he might even drop book to your house .. kidding )

i am reading Shashi Tharoor's "The Great Indian Novel" these days. Its not so original but good adaptation of Mahabaharat and Indian Independence struggle. He has wrtten the book with lotsa humour in it. Book not only entertains but also helps us recall many historical events. I am yet to finish this.

As for movies ...Amit was to see "300" .. hope to hear from him on it

well did finally get to see 300 over the week.. it was all sold out on saturday.. this is the first time i did not get tickets to a movie even when it was scheduled to run every half an hour.. imagine the rush.. looks like this is the biggest hollywood grosser for the month of march, ever...
hmm about the movie.. visuals and some of the backgrounds as expected are stunning... its really worth a watch especially on a big screen just for that.. if u happen to love blood and gore.. this movie is definitely for you.. its a little less graphic then apocalypto though.. but it has tis moments.. overall I liked it.. cant say the same for kavi .. well she wasnt bored though.. sudhir said he liked it better than some of the other war movies... depiction of xerces, though a little over-board, nonetheless a change from the regular stereotype..

watched number 23 on the day we did not get the tickets to 300.. well had bought tickets for zodiac but sneaked into 23 as we had 45 minutes before the show started.. but got kinda got glued to the movie and ended up watching it... one word for the movie... WHACKY!!! cant explain why we still saw it instead of zodiac though...

300's real good. Ofcourse not as good as LOTR, but still fascinating. The story is not one that's unheard of or uncommon, still the director has done justice to the valour of gallant Spartans!! It's definitely a big screen movie. Have gone through lots of hollywood movies in the recent past; Apocalypto, Ghostrider, The Departed. All of them are quite good.

yeah Krish da, here in India we are pretty unaware (and ignorant sometimes) about the stringent copyright laws out there. I guess we should be more careful and cautious )..
