Mohan singh Hya gets there...

after climbing many peaks.. and taming many a slopes... finally he gets thru the redtapes of indian government i think in 2005 he has finally got his due by the way of 2 of the highest national awards in the sports field. i have always known him has Mohan singh hya ITBP wale in my younger days and sometimes when we met him it would be a few anecdotes on skiing. Then he climbed Everest and ever since he became Mohan singh hya everest waale. Unfortunately like many of us i have been away from home and our people so much that somehow never got around to share a long chat with him and only way i got to know about his exploits was thru article in Amtikar last year. then i googled some information on him last year to discover more about the mountaineers who have made it big from rungmung Name of the climber : MOHAN SINGH (GUNJYAL) Individual climber number : 379 Nationality : Indian Date : 12.05.1992 Route : S Col - SE Ridge Team Leader : Hukam Singh Name : Suman Kutiyal Female climber number ( overall in the world ) : 28 Overall Summitter Number : 487 Date : 16. 05. 1993 Nationality : Indian Route : S Col - SE Ridge Team Leader : Bachendri Pal (f) this information is collected from : http://www.adventurestats.com/tables/ also : our oldest mountaineer Ms. Chandraprabha Aitwal who unfortunately could not complete her summit dream ( same year when bachendri pal made it .. if i remember) i still remember waiting for the radio news everyday during that year to hear about her.... she is probably first rung to receive Arjuna Award and Padma Sree Award!! and now Mohan Singh Hya has joined ranks with her. Mohan singh hya's story is inspiring for many reasons and for me special one is that he somehow paved his way up in his field of passion. The ITBP jobs which have been employment source for many rung mung have remained only employment for people and there are not many examples where someone had found within the job, avenues to mix the skill and opportunities to achieve something for himself, organization and his own people.

Dilemma!

Everyone undergoes some kind of dilemma during his/her lifetime. Be it Chhangryal/Garbyal, Rung/Walan, Darchula/Dharchula, Nepal/India or what ever. I came across an article in kantipur, a nepal daily newspaper. I felt it should be read by all (as it is worth reading). We are in somewhat a similar condition, as we are in the same shoes. We do face the same problems as Ram the fictional character of the article "From Okhaldhunga to Oklahoma." Enjoy and give it a thought. http://kantipuronline.com/feature.php?&nid=62309 ciao

Priceless!

Had always heard and actually been prompted time and again in the movies or ads that there are things money cant buy! Well i was very fortunate to have a similar experience which is priceless. Well being among own people after 4 years sure felt good but what really was priceless was that we had had our dinner at my didi's(Babita raypa) place in delhi and then sat down talking. It was my cousins and jiju and puni and my sis who is gettin married (kavita di). Being the youngest member of the family my little kid bhaanja (swapnil) was lured into dancing. Mann he started with this nepali song which was followed by some bollywood songs. I was at awe seeing the little kid dance so well and he twisted his hip in such funny ways eveyone in the room burst into laughter. We laughed till my stomach ached and i was actually looking at my sisters and old puni and cousins all soooo happy and full of joy i literally had tears in my eyes. Couldnt contain them so actually felt khushi ke aanshu. We sure missed ambu da. But yeah i would give up anything for such kinda PRICELESS moments.

i.e. regarding the attitude of rung mung. Using internet......yea its very easy and perfect way to feel the rung environment in the college. So i try to talk and connect with more rung mung. For this i have taken all the id from dch yhu grp and with the help of this website too(chat room and ...., again ambu da many thanks). and added to yh mssngr, gmail, rediffbol etc. And i sent messages too...(wishes and all). But reply......very sad, I don't know....what type of mentality, they are having. (might be...not recieving my message) But i think straight forward, nothing in my my mind, just trying to know my people(i am not saying about you all...who all are in my touch already). So main thing is here....conclusion ....my rating.......attitude of rung mung. On the top of my rating are kelly (kailash bohra) and komal (nagnyal). Yea kelly and komal both of you are......really great! keep the spirit.....a great example of good attitude. all of you(all rung) are having good attitute also but its about the best

"baap-beta....dada-pota"

One more stupid blog related to me and my college....just read for entertainment. As i got my roll number in 1st year(same for all 4 year), Became beta, pota, parpota and so on. How come? Yea.....e.g. my roll no. is 5651 so everyone related to 51 (1st 2 digits) comes under my family. My 2nd year-----2nd year pop(baap), 3rd year----3rd year pop(dada) and so on. A strong connection between senior and junior. what does "baap" do? He should take care of his beta. He should be responsible for beta's books and notes, e.d. board etc. If he is rank holder(like a house captain) then should give exemption from all the fall-in(i.e checks, when he is on duty). i was lucky in 1st year my baap was rank holder and fall-in!....no need to attend, but in 2nd year he had demoted, so sad for me. enough......so boring naa. PIC. OF MY FAMILY,L-R-- MY 2ND YR POP,THEN BETA ,......,THEN POTA. okay! thanks for reading foolish stuff.
