Of late, I was trying to ferret out in Orkut-Rung-community about the title of this blog. And by chance, today itself, I got to read an article of same topic in Ringleba magazine. Today, dowry has become a trend to present the gifts to bridegroom family from bride family side. It is just like a show off! I never came across any Rung who was in favour of dowry. But everyone perceives the future is no more tomorrow when any of the Rung family initiates the dowry, others do follow and this trend changes into tradition. Well, we, youngrung, don’t have rights to change these kinds of trend. I hope our elders do take some action against this trend before it changes into tradition.
