HUmm!! With the French Open wraping up and FIFA06 approaching and closing with the Wimbledon and topping with a bunch of great Hollywood and Bollywood Flicks coming to the screens next to us, this summer is and will be a blast. Talking about the Frech Open, i am so waiting to see Nadal and Federer play. After Agassi and Sampras's game a few years back, this One sure would be a treat to all the tennis fans. Soccer, wow! Go Argentina Go. As always its been Argentina. Wait up, but what is the deal with Nepalese and Argentina, well no clue? Since my first attempt at soccer and first game on TV, it was Argentina and Maradona on the scene, and it has followed up all through these years. We have got the Argentina gears set up for the games and a big screen set up at the Nepali Bar around our joint. Icing the games with movies like mash potato with gravy. Summer blockbuster like Da Vinci, X-Men, Superman, Pirates of the Caribbean, Fannah, Phir Hera Pheri, Krissh, Kabhi Alvida Nah Kahna, etc hitting or ready to hit the dazzling eyes of the fans. And what else, to add to all the above are the NBA games. Go Mavericks go! Hope you all have a fun filled summer, and so will I, amidst the pending summer project and schoolwork. Rock on Rungmungs!

Hamster!! Well this is the mascot of my senior design project team. The mood of the hamster depicts the mood of the team. This week has been a real busy one. Must say Real Busy!! How can I imagine not having watched a single bollywood movies this week. Moreover, I haven't seen Namita in the last 48 hrs. I guess its gonna be another day before I get to see her. When I am home late night or early morning she is asleep and when she leaves in the morning, I am asleep. Yes! the schedules have been tight. This semester I can feel the burden of being a senior and all the load comes up at one time. I am getting the feel of my final year. This week Proffessors have been throwing at us so many reports, labs and test, i felt like Bush bombing Iraq or Osama declaring jihad. But at the moment I feel good. Having finished a 25 page report makes me feel proud. But i still got more to do. Any guesses, yeah, one more report to do. And guess what I have a test in a few minutes for which i have no clue! Anyways all i got to say now is (though irrevelant here) RungMung Rockss!! Take it easy...Its Spring time Baby!

This is another good article by Dr. Ambika Prasad Adhikari. "Raising Children in North America" can sure be a hassle and a pain in the ass and as the article mentions, i wouldnt have been surprised if there were some user's manual for this responsibilty of life. And to end with, there is a child in all of us!! Check this article out at http://kantipuronline.com/feature.php?&nid=64878 I will be waiting on Dr. Adhikari's next article. enjoy!

Dilemma!

Everyone undergoes some kind of dilemma during his/her lifetime. Be it Chhangryal/Garbyal, Rung/Walan, Darchula/Dharchula, Nepal/India or what ever. I came across an article in kantipur, a nepal daily newspaper. I felt it should be read by all (as it is worth reading). We are in somewhat a similar condition, as we are in the same shoes. We do face the same problems as Ram the fictional character of the article "From Okhaldhunga to Oklahoma." Enjoy and give it a thought. http://kantipuronline.com/feature.php?&nid=62309 ciao

uff. its past 3 am and i havent finished my paper which is due in 6 hrs. i think it will take me another 2 hrs, it would be nungchhungmo(i guess i got the pronunciation right here) haath main marjya hai and zameen pey padmaasan pose mein baith kar kambal oda hai. it so cold outside. its 28 F means its below zero degrees celsius. I have been in the same pose the whole day, didnt even stepped out of the room. computer to the fridge and computer to the bathroom, thats been my schedule the whole day. My eyes are tired but i am scared to go to bed now as i wont be able to wake up early to finish it. Tomorrow i plan to sleep well, havent slept well for the past week, so much going on. Still got 3 more final after this to go. our proff. justsent us 60 questions to do as a part of final exam(quarter of the exam). This is also going to be a killler next week. Not keeping to the honor code, i am trying to compare my answers to rakesh's, he too hasnt finished but is sleeping, thinking i will do the rest and he would do it early morning. i am sure he would not finish the paper, and neither will i. All i need is a B in this paper and i will be happy. Next day will have to work on a 3D program using matlab(using coin3d program, does anyone know how to use it.) I think soon i am going to fall asleep, but i have kept alarms in 3 watches, hope i should not miss all. oh mann..jigae like kappat...taking some marjya break now

another angel!

angels are everywhere in all ages and come at all ages.. humm..now its time to ride to mussoorie from old school SMS. after reading rake ka kissa, mujhe mera kissa yaad agaya. grade 2 one gal and 2 guys. The one gal from darjeeling, daughter to our teacher and the 2 dudes me and himanshu(i hope he is not offended). One of her friend's fallen for hemu, so now it was like a love quadrangle. As rake said innocent love, bachpan mein hawa ka jhonkha.it was this second lady's idea that the 2 boys fight for the first lady's love. damn and can you believe, the 2 boys faught for their lady. dang i dont even remember what was the outcome of the fight. all i remember was that in a couple of days this sweet lady love of ours left school as her parents moved to another state with a better job. But let me tell you, me and hemu still maintained that friendship of ours, that fight was just a momentary bachpana of ours. Apna bachpan was so pyar bhara, gone are those days. now let me rekindle my thoughts and think of another kissa from grade 3. Rake bro, now its your turn for katha. come up with a one.

chhira chhira, gone are those days. days in SMS were really great, though i remember only few things from there. I remember the principal Mr. Paul, i met him several times in mussoorie too. my lala was my escort to-from school. rakesh (the smart dude) always had to step out of the line. he reminded me of one incident that i vaguely could rekindle. Rakesh remember that rinki wala kissa, man when i look back into it, it seemed so funny. i think you made me cry and then later you got a thrashing too. wow! one incident i never forgot was that as a kid while coming back from school i had a fight with someone outside our house premises and i pushed that person into paccho ka plantation, uuuuuuh! it was not until i met amita 4 yrs back that she told me she was the one. i guess the mystery of this incidence was solved for me. i did say sorry to her then. i also remember peter and monica always having fights and another bully was chinto. he recognised me after so many years when we met at the haldwani bus stand. long time! my last day in SMS i was punished and all because of mukki and arvind. it was prayer time in the morning gathering we had (call it assembly or chapel) they were trying to pull me and thuck me and i shouted aloud. all three had to stand before the whole school. i also remember apni monica winning the topper prize in SMS as she topped the school at that time, i remember i stood 4th in my class, not bad though. i guess i still see that prize (a double decker tifin box) which i later took it from her. It now lies in my kitchen corner resting for nearly 1.5 decades now. As i grew up , it was my turn to go to school (SMS) and pick up my bro Sandeep( ab to mujhse bhi bada ho gaya hai). This is the school we had built our basics, have to visit this school. anyways how is the school doing nowadays, heard these days its out of business because of the competition from the other school( i dont know the name). i know its been opend by late Mohini lala'a son. Mohini lala, himanshu, chitra di and me in mussoorie thats a different story now. mere sir par unka bbhi ashirwad hai.

Today Condileeza Rice was in her birth city, apna Birmingham. She was on a 3 day visit to Alabama. She visited the church where in 1963 four black students were killed in a blast, one of them was her friend. I learnt one more fact today, Rice is 50 yrs old, doesn't look that old. This church is quite close to where we live. If i had no school i would have gone to catch a glimpse of Rice. Krish Hya you have read the Namesake, now have you read Condi Vs. Hillary: The Next Great Presidential Race, have read interesting reviews on it. Though i am not that much of a reader but these 2 books i surely am gonna read this winter.

Kripya dhyan dey, Delhi sey Dharchula jaane wali gaadi platform number ## sey jayegi. What ever it may be the new pic recently added has been speeding up like the shatabdi express. Two days and more than a 100 views and tonnes of comments, WOW! The rungmung is the platform and we intend to keep the train running to Dharchula. Apart from a few anonymous comments it has been good all through. The intercaste marriage polls heated up the chatrooms along with the website during the month of September, now its time for another summer. While we approach winter, rungmung.net should still be heated up with comments and arguments. Hope this website is intrumental in bringing good changes in our society while keeping up to our traditions.
