Future brides and grooms, ENGAGEMENT, a promise to marriage! Things keep changing so thoughts do. Recent wedding ceremonies Nov-Dec, 2009 brought me a lot of fun and most attendees like me were not aware of things being brought to that end (?); one thing, crowd of my peer group cared about was how the arrangement for younger lot.

With that a few marriages without DJ system brought up some singing talents in the market. Who cared anyway?  Just pointing to the flaws of peer group of ours doesn’t really work. All of us want to have our share of happiness, a few looking for future happiness and a few for an instant, no? In the mean while, a few shots of love and inter-caste marriages gave us thoughts that that could also be done in a peaceful manner.

Also, important, it’s an opening to love/inter-caste marriages for peer group of teenagers although there are other set examples already. Generation-X objecting these fixers of love and inter-caste may look into reasons of such happenings. Being a generation-Y, I observed that it might be taking place due to lack of interaction with our own people, culture and place.  Secondly, initiation! Groom party only taking, why not bride party as well, whereas one (Rung) is having bride party initiation from good families of non-Rungs?

This is one of the topics of (2006 written) which was supposed to be published on our last planned magazine "Catalyst". Many a chemical lochas took place in my life; and I had to get paused on such activities. Chemical reactions are still there. Still, no idea what happened to that magazine. Completely isolated me! Nobody's to blame! Anyways, I was just going thru my notebook, found this article, and thought to put it up here. Since the years dot, my contribution on the site has just got vanished. Invisible into the background! _____________________________________________________________I was just trying to set forth my thoughts way back in 2006. Any misapprehension, I would be greatly thankful if anyone speaks better way with a good logic of issue. Who cares anyway? ____________________________________________________________ Chyakti-Marti, every time, everywhere, any type of event, pleasant occasion, unpleasant occasion, Chyakti always takes position as a major part on each and every occasion of our small Rung World. In my opinion, Chyakti isn't so bad that it stands every time all around the Rung happenings. (If in some of the events it does not take part then make that moment exception and here, I'm writing in general point of view.) They, Our Forefathers, made Chyakti a major need in the celebration times and we have been following, I say it is good and it is a path to make environment more enjoyable. If some of us try to divert enjoyable moments into offensive moments (i.e. dust-up and all) then it's our responsibility to stop them on the spot. I would not stand against Chyakti and I won't say "stop production of Chyakti" and even I don't say "don't make it a major part of our festivals" rather I say "it should be there". But one thing I'm not able to understand why Chyakti comes in between when there is any sad moment occurs. I guess maybe, just to kill the affliction and yea, we can say, it's a ritual. And in the times of Shae Thumu (worship), I personally noticed why Chyakti Thumu is necessary. (I meant to say, on those Shae Thumu where Chyakti Thumu is necessary.) Therefore, all the way I found it isn't so bad that we Rung Mung are too much into Chyakti-Marti. And yea, just go through business point of view and don't feel bad about it, Chyakti was one of the common income source of every 2nd family in the past. Even today, if we investigate, we would be finding a lot of families are still dependent upon this business only. If someone wants to stop such kind of activities, come up and open some other sources of earning system for them. Now you might be saying, Rungs are having hundreds of business formulas so why Chyakti? I say, ask them! They try all the business keys and find that Chyakti also is a key to stay alive and manage some money for their children's education. So, why "NO" to Chyakti-Marti? Better I say "OKAY", if it is a source of earning money or is in our rituals/customs. But yea, we will have to consider each and everything, happened in the past. How much have Chyakti been found beneficial or harmful?

This is a blog-cum-educational-feed. No doubt, in last few years India's education system has gone through unpredictable changes. Still, they have been working on it. Here, I'm adding a few changes related to marine field: Firstly, Ministry of Shipping succeeded on forming IMU (Indian Maritime University) (Previously shipping industry was without their own university). Secondly, a Common Entrance Test has been started for admission in various marine colleges. Therefore, those who are willing to join marine field need not to undergo IIT-JEE or other entrance tests. Last date of submission of application is 29th, May 2009For more details visit: http://imu.tn.nic.in

Awareness

There are mainly three type of groups: some lead, others follow and many quit. I really don't know what group i do fall in, else i don't belong to any group, i doubt it. Every next step of life teaches a new lesson and these lessons create a mayhem around. I find, i'm not aware of most of the happenings. And it is true that full awareness makes a life moving but who is fully aware? I was watching a program "journey of life"; that program was describing how writing culture came into human life and made ease for every next generation coming. Connecting that to Rung culture, i assume we have a rich culture but we are not aware of many a customs and of course the main reason is, we don't have anything in written (no? we have got a few!! :) ). There are a lot of confusion and lots of minds on the move.. this is another puzzled weblog by me..i just wanted to publish my current mind..just chill..!!
