The same stuff is already put on show on forum section; let’s reactivate the Jooni anyway. Hello, it’s us busy all the time! Just a few hrs of spare time! whew! Simplify, simplify!! i came to know, some users r still using old-home-page – just only bcz they r well familiar with old-home-page-contents or it’s simple to understand, n now it’s vital to make our website page simpler, i think. But um, EVERYONE is busy. “Less is more - LESS difficulty & MORE users accessing/participating.” We shouldn’t blame orkut or othr online communities – Once u’ve got the knack of our site u’ll come to know, our website is far better than ’em all the way (except activity :-)). I guess it isn’t a correct time to open the vents as users are unavailable to read this whole speculation; Lo. :p And i feel, NauksumV2 also is simple as old-page; only thing u need to do is play around with it - though venting my feelings anyway: 1. Home: d concept of bell (using 2 steps to access NV2) should b modified. It consumes more time when users do use two steps to access the RMNV2. Better, what my mind can contribute here is: we can copy-paste the links as much as possible to rungmung.net-page (not NV2) around the bell with mentioning new events (same like old-home-page), one login box also and one logout link should be placed on every page (same like it is found in mails or related). Number of cookies available can be reduced for accessing with a better speed if possible, else that’s fine. 2. Genealogy: 2-3 months ago, i was trying to learn with d help of phpgedview open source (got to learn a bit abt, but much of that was above my head) n i found i was unable to add any data. I guess, i was not given rights to that level to add the names. That time, for some days i was in touch with Krish Hya n afterwards Krish Hya’s vanishing act leaded work to get paused though i don’t have idea if i’m given rights to that level. 3. Forum: in cyber cafes - it’s very laborious to open it using IE (no firefox, no opera etc. in cafes). The moment i open the forum, the next moment IE vanishes (not always). :( 4. Katha: no one is looking after rungmung@gmail.com to add news, i observed. (even i was trying to add the news directly but i found, it does not allow users to add new data) 5. Jooni: ?? lots of non users’ activity :p - unwanted feedbacks/trackbacks - spam?? Oh, everyone is busy!! 6. Groups: few days back i made the one – I think this section may work in near future.. 7. Chat: ?? 8. Halo Satho: this should be open to all users to “add/not edit”, with one notification to all the users to “send in/add” their known contacts. I, even, promised to work on hindi part of it, but… 9. Dictionary: last yr, i added around 40-50 words in dictionary. Then Ambu Da asked me to stop adding the words as it was creating problem n i made a list of around 100 words in the form of site-dictionary-format. Due to lack of communication, i made a bit of a bloomer to type the Hindi (font) part of it. I did use ‘Shusha font’ to write in Hindi n i later came to know that rm-site-dictionary doesn’t support Shusha font. Later, Krish Hya gave me other excel-format-word-list to add words (only in excel - not in the site) which is strictly in different format – one needs to retype all the alphabets to add in rm-site-dictionary from that excel-format-word-list. 10. Else: there are many other sections where i still need to play around with ‘em n need to know the rules to play with contents….squeezed!! All said n done. Admin needs to take his spare time & work, n all we need to have are contributions, even one minute of ours will do – after all ignorance isn’t always bliss. Nowadays u see how this website is crawling. :( Let’s crawl anyway… p.s. plz do not take it as a ‘must-do-speculation’; it’s mere an intuition of mine to vent my feelings. U also are always most welcome to share ur mind n active hands!!

I found, rungmung-jooni is the easiest way to bring out m’self. I just wanted to light up from a users’ eye. /NauksumV2/ I’m, a user, getting problem while opening the RM/NV2 page. Till rungmung.net (page with bell) is okay to logon but when I ring (click) the bell following problems come across. 1. Some times it shows “this page can not be displayed” message, which appears at the times when net connection is unavailable. 2. Many times it shows only top view of the page. 3. Many times it takes a long time to upload even at the times when I use sify i-way. As sify i-ways are having broad band connection n good speeds to work. 4. Few months back it showed one message and I sent that message to rungmung@gmail.com , after that that message never appeared. I think it’s just because of NV2 home page which contains aplenty of data. I many times don’t open the rm web page just because it is hard to open and I need to look for other sites keeping in mind that I must finish the all work within a limited period of time. /Jooni/blog/ One of my friends was saying that he tried to register in Jooni/blog (this one) 2-3 times but was unable to register himself and left the idea of registering. Even I got blog posting problem when I started blogging. And some other registered users asked me the procedure of blog posting. Well, Jooni has now become @ tortoise’s speed. Don’t you feel that, it is required to have a link on NV2 home page same as earlier it used to be on old home page? /Forum/ Forum is another active section where user can share any kind of issue. But it is hard to see forum-links as it is placed at the bottom or just above the bottom. I think all the active sections (pictures, jooni, forum etc.), where users are having rights to play (add/remove) his/her way, should be placed on home page with keeping points in mind that user can get access very easily. Same like we have chat-box-link n poll. How is chat working? It’s been a long time since I logged-in. That’s all I have to share, don’t have much knowledge about computers and internet, even then presented my views, hope I have written something sensible.. p.s. I was supposed to post this blog earlier. Today, NauksumV2 looks pretty better but forum must be shifted from bottom, I feel. And really, NV2 page has got fantastic looks n links. Kudos!! Since green signal has been already shown by Ambu Da. Again, posting the data for them who have not yet gone thru that.. It is to bring to your kind notice that an additional feature to upload photographs, swiftly and easily, has been enabled in the pictures section of our website. Interested one, has to follow some.. • Login to Nauksum!! • Go to pictures section with login name!! • Create album n start uploading!! So far I see only three albums. :) Please follow the followings while uploading.. • Keep the width of an image to maximum of 600 pixels for a horizontal/vertical frame picture. • Extensions allowed: gif, jpg, jpeg, png, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNg. • Maximum size allowed is 500 KB. (may create probs while uploading >500KB.) • Caption appropriate names (person or place). • Upload pictures related to Rung people or places only. (Please do not try annoying pictures) • Don't upload any photoshoped pictures. As a whole conclusion is that, please UNDERTAKE IN MIND THAT YOU ARE UPLOADING THE PICTURES FOR YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS!! I'm quite hopeful that you will follow so. :) If you need ask anything still, Ambu Da is there to answer your queries, as I'll be plying around. :) Looking forward to cool pictures and a bunch of personal albums in pictures section.
